We carved our final pumpkins today!
I made a raccoon coming out of a jack-o-lantern and Matt made a Frankenstein!
I made a raccoon coming out of a jack-o-lantern and Matt made a Frankenstein!
Matt then with his skillful non-arthritic hands carved my lil ghost pumpkin into a work of art! He's so good! I wish I could have helped.
I can't wait to put him on the front porch to greet our trick or treaters.
My co-workers got a little testy with me because I hadn't followed through on the week long Halloween celebration I had been planning for 4 months, so the past two nights I've been whipping together Halloween Brownies and tonight Halloween sugar cookies....
I thought the Bride of Frankenstein was a good idea at first, but it turned bad soon after I finished the hair and tried to make a mouth.
Then I thought a bat would top off my creations until I realized that I couldn't tell my bat apart from an owl....so I wrote "Bat" beneath my icing illustration and called it quits.
Maybe no one will notice him in there and hopefully this will get my co-workers off my back!
Only 2 more days until Halloween! EEEEEEEE!!!!
She had a blast doing this....2...3...and even 4 times...
The maze.
Finally we all reached the end because the sun was really bright.
After a long search Kennedy finally found her perfect pumpkin and promptly used it to block the sun from her eyes. Smart girl.
Kennedy suggested we have our photo taken with these scarecrows.
When we got back home, we were just in time for the ice cream man! Kennedy picked a Dora Popsicle. Big surprise there, eh?
Kennedy wanted to take my picture with my ice cream. She told me to say "Banana Booty" and then came in for this disgusting close up of my tired sick face. Upon review of how it came out, she commented, "Awww! SO cute!" At least she thought so....
After ice cream it was time to decorate for Halloween so that we could keep up with the Joneses around this neighborhood. Matt started by hammering in stakes for our orange and purple lights.
We hung ghost lights....
Matt made some impressive spiderweb designs....
And alas we called it a night....for now.
I love this time of year!
